Tickets on PEKA Card

PEKA (Poznań Electronic Agglomeration Card) is a modern, multifunctional, contactless city card used mainly as the only carrier of season-tickets and the carrier of the so-called tPurse (transportPurse) from which a passenger can pay for the number of stops regardless of the time of the journey.

PLEASE NOTE! Passengers who are 70 years old (and over) have the right to go on the ZTM lines for free.
                         Children until September the 30th of the year in which they are 7 years old have the right to go on the ZTM lines for free  

Season tickets

Season tickets can be bought on the personalized PEKA Card and are valid in any chosen area (check tariff zones) and for the selected number of days – from 14 to 366 (network tickets) and from 14 to 90 days (route tickets). Using a season ticket, the passenger doesn’t have to put PEKA Card to the card-reader when enters and exits the tram or bus. Season tickets are available at Customer Service Points, Ticket Selling Points, via the Internet (on www.peka.poznan.pl) or in the ticket machines.

The PEKA Card also offers a function of the tPurse - an account designed for paying for occasional fares in public transport or paying for parking a vehicle in the Poznan Parking Zone. The fare depends on the number of stops travelled. Remember! To start the journey paid for with the tPurse the passenger must have funds for at least one-stop journey (0.72 zł standard price). The passenger can start another journey paying from the tPurse when tops up tPurse account.

Remember! If the total cost of journeys made during one day exceeds the value of a 24-hour ticket (15 zł standard price for A Zone or 20 zł standard price for A+B+C+D Zone), no more funds will be taken from the tPurse account – passenger will travel for free until the end of the day.

When a passenger uses the tPurse to pay for the journey and changes the line numer within 20 minutes (the time is counted from a moment the passenger puts the PEKA Card to a card reader in the vehicle passenger gets out and another vehicle the passenger gets in), the fare for the stops travelled is counted as for one journey. It means that the fare is not counted as if it was for the first stop but if it was the next stop. The maximum number of changes allowed during one journey is 3. Remember to put the PEKA CARD to the card-reader every time when you get on and get off the vehicles!

Important additional information about how to use tickets and pay for journeys from tPurse on the PEKA Card within the local public transport organized by ZTM 

* a 24-hour ticket validated between 8:00 p.m. or later on Friday and midnight on Saturday entitles a passenger to travel up to midnight on Sunday

* 2 validated 24-hour tickets (normal price) entitle to ride on ZTM lines by 2 adults and up to 3 children (not older than 15-years old)

* purchasers of personal season ticket (standard price) can travel with up to 3 children (not older than 15-years old) free of charge on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays on the regular lines within the borders of the tariff zone applying to their long-time ticket

Fares for journeys using tPurse on the PEKA CARD  (paying for the stops travelled)

 * fare for the whole journey on one vehicle or the whole journey with a maximum of 3 changes of lines (or vehicles one the same line) within 20 minutes each (20 minutes for every single change - time of the change is counted from the moment of putting the PEKA Card to the card-reader in the vehicle you get off and the moment of putting the PEKA Card to the card-reader in the next vehicle you get on).

** if the passenger changes lines (or vehicles on the same line) within more than 20 minutes, the fare for the journey is counted anew, starting from the maximum fare for journeys using the tPurse on the PEKA Card – 0.72 zl (standard price)

Time tickets

A time ticket entitles to an unlimited number of journeys in a period not longer than 15, 45 or 90 minutes since it was validated, with as many changes of lines as necessary. The time-limit ticket entitles users to travel on all ZTM lines, i.e. by bus (city or suburban) or tram. This is a bearer ticket.

During the first journey the ticket should be validated immediately after boarding the vehicle.

After validation, the time ticket remains valid throughout the number of minutes indicated by its nominal value. Real time of the journey is measured.

ZTM offers the following types of time tickets:

• 15-minute which costs 4 zł *
• 45-minute which costs 6 zł
• 90-minute which costs 8 zł

Single, time-tickets are also available through mobile apps: MoBilet www.mobilet.pl, mPay (www.mpay.pl), SkyCash (www.skycash.pl), GoPay (GoPay) and jakdojade.pl (www.jakdojade.pl)

Short-term ticket

A short-term ticket entitles to many journeys within a specified number of hours or days from its validation, with an unlimited number of changes made during its validity period. The short-term ticket entitles to travel on all ZTM lines, i.e. by bus (city or suburban) or  tram. This is a bearer ticket. The ticket should be validated immediately after boarding the vehicle.

Short-term tickets include the following types:

• 24-hour (1 day) ticket which costs 15 zł for A Zone or 20 zł for A+B+C+D Zone *,
• 7-days ticket which costs 50 zł for A Zone or 80 zł for A+B+C+D Zone

 * all the prices above are from the standard tariff 

Before getting on board, you have to buy a ticket. Tickets are sold in kiosks, shops, supermarkets and ZTM Customer Service Points. Single, short-time tickets also available through mobile apps: MoBilet www.mobilet.pl, mPay (www.mpay.pl), SkyCash (www.skycash.pl), GoPay (GoPay) and jakdojade.pl (www.jakdojade.pl)

Where to buy a ticket?

• ZTM Customer Service Points
• You can buy all types of tickets at ZTM Customer Service Points, including season tickets to be put on your PEKA Card, and top up your tPurse.  Check the list of Customer Service Points here:

Sale points, stationary ticket-machines, ticket-machines on board and Internet (www.peka.poznan.pl)

• About 300 points such as kiosks, shops or supermarkets distribute ZTM time- and single-ride tickets. There is a possibility to buy also season tickets or to top up tPurse on PEKA Card.
• there is an easy way to top up the tPurse or buy season ticket using Internet thanks to site: www.peka.poznan.pl
• there are over 100 stationary ticket machines located in Poznań. Ticket machines sell: time tickets, short-term tickets (24h, 7-day) and allows to top up tPurse or buy season tickets.
• There are 255 ticket-machines on board of trams and buses. Attention! Not every bus and tram is equipped with ticket-machine. Ticket machines on board sell only: time tickets and short-term tickets (24h, 7-day). They do not allow to top up tPurse or buy season tickets.

• Single, time-tickets and short-time tickets also available through mobile apps: MoBilet www.mobilet.pl, mPay (www.mpay.pl), SkyCash (www.skycash.pl), GoPay (GoPay) and jakdojade.pl (www.jakdojade.pl).

• The drivers sell tickets only on the night service and on the suburban lines (Attantion! This way of getting a ticket is not applicable due to COVID-19).
